New Year’s Eve is your excuse to go ultra-glamorous with your look over any other holiday. Whether you’re attending the city’s most exclusive party or you’re just grabbing drinks with your closest compadres, you bet everyone is dressed to the nines!

Find out which makeup products QC’s staff is going to be rocking this NYE if you want to turn some heads!

Benefit Cosmetics – “High Beam” Liquid Face Highlighter

“For me, New Year’s Eve is all about glowing skin. I don’t wear very much makeup on a daily basis, so when December 31st rolls around, I’m ready to step out with a radiant complexion! My go-to product every year is Benefit Cosmetics’ High Beam, which is a liquid highlighter that can take my look from ordinary to extraordinary in just a few swipes. It looks just like a bottle of nail polish, and the highlighter itself is applied with a similar-looking brush. I add a swipe to my brow bone, my cheekbones, and on the bridge of my nose. Not only does this give a sheen to my face that makes me look happy all evening long, it also helps me ring in the New Year confidently and flawlessly!” – Victoria

Marsk – “Vanilla Frosting” Mineral Eyeshadow

“I recommend Marsk’s Mineral Eyeshadow, specifically the color Vanilla Frosting. It’s a loose powder that blends really nicely despite being CRAZY pigmented! The color stands out on the lid so I find that I don’t need any sort of eye shadow base—this is something I usually struggle with when dealing with lighter eye shadow colors. Because it’s so great at reflecting light, I also use it as a face highlighter. A little goes a long way so you won’t find yourself caking it onto your face. Another bonus? The brand doesn’t test on animals!” – Celena

Static Nails – “Whipped”

“I love Static Nails’ award-winning pop-on nails because they are more affordable and less time-consuming than going to get your nails done at the salon. These nails are glued-on, but they can be removed and reused up to 6 times before having to swap them out for new ones. They come in a variety of shades, finishes, and designs, and it’s a quick and easy way to get a perfect manicure for any occasion! If you’ve been dying to jump onto the halo (holographic) trend subtly, check out these statement nails in Whipped!” – Sarah

Smashbox – “Moscow Muled” Be Legendary Liquid Lip

“Sparkles aren’t just appropriate for New Year’s – they’re mandatory. I consider this holiday the perfect occasion to break out Smashbox’s Be Legendary Liquid Lip in any of its nine glorious liquid metal shades. This lipstick is basically an easier, classier, less kindergarten-y way to wear glitter glue on your lips. Moscow Muled is my go-to shade, but New Years is also the perfect excuse for something a little funkier—like Space Case or Iced Out. The color payoff is intense, it smells delicious, and it turns your mouth into a mini disco ball! It’s sticky like a lip gloss, and there is a 100% chance it will end up all over your glass (and your date). But it’s New Year’s, so who cares?” – Alicia

beauty products for new years glam

Becca – “Radiant Finish” Shimmering Skin Perfector® Liquid Highlighter

“If you want to feel extra glam this New Year’s, I definitely recommend testing out the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector® Liquid Highlighter. This stuff is amazing – it gives you a gorgeous pearly glow without the glitter and keeps your skin looking dewy all day/night long. The one downfall is that this highlighter is on the pricey side, so beware of getting too attached to it (and I promise, you will get attached). However, a small amount goes a long way, so even the sample size will keep you going for a while!” – Katie

ColourPop – “Femme” Ultra Satin Lip

“Nothing says 2018 than picking up products from the makeup brand that built its business on Instagram and YouTube! If you haven’t heard of ColourPop yet, you’ve wasted 2017 living under a rock. Known for selling an enormous range of lippies, highlighters, and now eyeshadow palettes at dirt cheap prices, this brand is every beauty blogger’s Holy Grail! For lips, I recommend the Ultra Satin liquid lipsticks for long-lasting, highly pigmented shades that wear comfortably on the lips and aren’t as drying as their Ultra Matte Lip counterparts. For eyes, you can’t go wrong with their eye palettes—check out their “Yes, Please!” palette recommended by Nylon Magazine!

Some of their most popular products are making their way onto Sephora store shelves. But if you’re an avid online shopper, how does $5 off your first order sound? Just sign up for their newsletter!” – Celina

Ardell – “Mega Volume 250” Lashes

“For the past 4 -5 years I’ve been wearing false eyelashes on a regular basis. I have very short, curly lashes so false lashes give me the length and volume that’s much needed! Out of all the different types of lashes and brands I’ve tried, the Ardell Mega Volume 250 is hands-down the best! These falsies are multi-dimensional and tapered to give a more natural look. These lashes are perfect for going out, and I typically get 5-10 uses out of them because of the thick and durable lash band.

Applying them is super easy, as well. I recommend applying mascara first, and then squeezing out a thin layer of the Ardell Duo Lash Adhesive in Clear to the lash band. You’ll want to set the glue for about 20 seconds and then adhere them to your natural lash line. Hold for about 10-20 seconds and you’re done!” – Meagan

NYX – “Taupe” Roll On Eye Shimmer

“The NYX Roll On Shimmer is a must-have if you’re looking for some sparkle on-the-go. This shimmer is not too heavily pigmented, so you can use it for any part of your makeup look—or even on your body for an early-2000s throwback! To add some extra dimension without having to dig out your messy cosmetic glitters, pop this on top of your eye shadow. You can give your cheekbones some extra oomph, or even roll it over your eyebrows for a fun, glamorous look. The color intensity is buildable, though, so don’t be too heavy handed!” – Corina
