I was that little girl you’d find in front of the mirror playing with makeup and fixing her hair. This aspect of myself didn’t change as I got older. I knew I wanted to make women look and feel their best. I wanted to be part of the moment where women look in the mirror and see themselves in all their beauty. That’s why I wanted to become a makeup artist.

QC Makeup Academy is unique to me because it’s an online academy. As a mom of two incredible young boys, going back to a classroom to follow my dreams just wasn’t realistic, that is until I found QC. I get to work with my instructor, Nathan Johnson, who is a celebrity makeup artist with years of experience in the industry. I also love being able to work at my own pace. Lastly, what makes QC unique is the community. You’re not just a number, you’re part of a family.

QC Makeup Academy has taught me that if you want something, you have to start at the very bottom and be prepared to learn from others. I love watching other artists and seeing how they work. We all do things so differently and I always come away having learned something new. You will never ever stop learning and I love that.

Before QC, I was working as a hairstylist. I love hair and I already had a good client base. Since joining QC, I have been posting my work on social media. People have started noticing my work and have since reached out to have their makeup done! Through my work with QC, I was approached by a salon to not only work as a hairstylist but also as their main makeup artist. I cannot tell you the absolute joy I felt. QC gave me a voice, a name, and now an entire career. I will forever be thankful to QC!
