There\u2019s a good chance that from a distance, I probably looked like a pumpkin wearing a graduation gown. It was pretty bad – and I wish I was exaggerating when I say that way<\/em> too many people definitely noticed.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1630348758436{padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”]My point is your clients\u2019 skin type<\/a>, color, texture, etc. matter! Understanding her skin and choosing the products best suited for it can, and often does, mean the difference between flawless results or a botched experience. Your client is coming to you because they\u2019re\u00a0trusting\u00a0<\/em>you to make her feel beautiful. Sometimes, it\u2019s simply due to not understanding the going rate<\/a> in your area for the work you\u2019re doing. Other times, it\u2019s a new makeup artist charging too much based on her level of experience.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1630348818509{padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”]If you\u2019re first starting out as a professional makeup artist, you definitely shouldn\u2019t give away your work for free<\/a>. But remember to be realistic at first: you\u2019re new, you don\u2019t have any traction in the community yet, and you still need to prove yourself.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Your talent may <\/em>be worth a higher figure and trust us, you\u2019ll get there.
