You can never go wrong with glitter, rhinestones, and dramatic falsies! She was inspired by a glittery makeup look she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.ca\/pin\/344455071500141137\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">found on Pinterest<\/a>. But it\u2019s not your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qcmakeupacademy.com\/2015\/12\/pro-makeup-workshop-course-sample-glitter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">typical glitter eye look<\/a>\u2014in fact, it\u2019s more like a glitter explosion! She\u2019s a big fan of the carefree, messiness of this look!\n\nTo find out how she created the look, keep reading![\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221; custom_height=&#8221;30&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<h3>Step 1: Apply a glitter adhesive to your eyelid<\/h3>\nWhen working with glitter, it\u2019s a good idea to purchase cosmetic-grade glitter glue. It\u2019ll keep your glitter in place all day!\n\nDevyn\u2019s using the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toofaced.com\/eye-makeup\/eye-shadow-primers\/shadow-insurance-glitter-glue-2015\/20071.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Too Faced Glitter Glue<\/a><\/em> to prime her lids using a small shadow brush from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qcmakeupacademy.com\/online-makeup-courses\/master-makeup-artistry\/#kit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">QC Makeup Academy brush set<\/a>. She concentrates the glitter glue on the lid along the lashline.\n\n<em>Pro Tip:<\/em> Work fairly quickly with the glitter glue so it doesn\u2019t set before applying the glitter! Devyn prefers to apply the glitter glue one eye at a time to avoid this issue!\n<h3>Step 2: Apply your glitter atop the glitter glue<\/h3>\nUsing the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/colourpop.com\/products\/the-crab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kathleen Lights x Colour Pop loose pigment in The Crab<\/a><\/em>, Devyn applies the glitter over the adhesive using her <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.morphe.com\/products\/m124-firm-shadow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Morphe M124 brush<\/a><\/em>. Remember, you don\u2019t want to brush the glitter back and forth. Slowly pat the glitter on top of the glue. Continue packing until opaque.\n\n<em>Pro Tip:<\/em> If you\u2019ve gone ahead and done your face makeup, loosely apply translucent setting under your eyes to catch glitter fallout!\n<h3>Step 3: Apply regular eyeshadow primer to the lid-space above the glitter<\/h3>\nNext up, Devyn applies the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toofaced.com\/eye-makeup\/eye-shadow-primers\/shadow-insurance-2016\/20070.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Too Faced Shadow Insurance<\/a><\/em> from right above the glitter to the brow bone. She switched from using glitter glue to a regular shadow primer as the shadow primer is less tacky.\n\nFor her look, she wants the highest concentration of glitter to be at the lash line. Using glitter glue at the lash line will make her eyes pop! For the rest of the lid, the regular primer will work just fine. It still adheres glitter to the lid but holds less of the product. The result is a slight gradient.\n<h3>Step 4: Apply glitter atop the rest of the primed lid<\/h3>\nTaking the residual glitter from the <em>M124 brush<\/em>, slowly start to pat on the glitter, gradually fading the pigment up the lid. Devyn doesn\u2019t recommend re-dipping the brush back into the jar as the residual pigment will allow you to control the amount of product you put on your lid. You can then evaluate how it looks, and see how much to add afterward.\n\nReferring to her professional makeup training, she mentions that you can always build on your application if you start with too little. But you can\u2019t take away if you use too much product to start!\n<h3>Step 5: Use your finger to faintly apply glitter at the brow bone<\/h3>\nDevyn uses her ring finger (the most delicate finger) to blend the glitter up and away from the lid. This step ensures the look doesn\u2019t have any harsh lines. The goal is to have the glitter look \u201cblown out\u201d.\n<h3>Step 6: Add additional glitter in a different pigment to add dimension<\/h3>\nNext, she picks up the QC makeup brush that applied the glitter glue from earlier. There should still residual primer on the brush\u2014this is a good thing as it\u2019ll help grab the glitter. Taking the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.makeupgeek.com\/products\/sparklers-aurora\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Makeup Geek Sparkler in Aurora<\/a><\/em>, she blends the line between the glitter-glued-glitter and the shadow-primer-glitter before building upwards toward the brow bone.\n<h3>Step 7: Add additional glitter glue to prepare for larger glitters<\/h3>\nDevyn felt like her look needed some extra oomph. So, she took additional glitter glue and tapped it over the lid. Don\u2019t worry if you\u2019re applying it over glitter\u2014it\u2019ll just make your lids more opaque!\n<h3>Step 8: Apply chunkier purple glitter using the ring finger<\/h3>\nTap the chunky glitter atop the glitter glue you just applied. The purple glitter pot used in this video came with the rhinestones Devyn bought. You can use whatever purple glitters you have on hand! You can also take some time to reapply glitters as needed to achieve opacity.\n<h3>Step 9: Highlight your brow bone and inner corner<\/h3>\nThe next product she uses is the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.urbandecay.ca\/en\/heavy-metal\/390.html#q=distortion&amp;start=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Distortion<\/a><\/em>. But she isn\u2019t using it for liner! Instead, she paints it underneath the brow bone and in her inner corners as her brow highlight. She then uses her ring finger to apply <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyxcosmetics.com\/face-%26-body-glitter\/NYX_308.html?cgid=root\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NYX Face &amp; Body Glitter in Ice<\/a><\/em> overtop the glitter eyeliner. The inner corner can be quite a small space, so use a brush to apply <em>Ice<\/em>!\n<h3>Step 10: Line your eyes<\/h3>\nBefore applying her false lashes, Devyn takes the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.morphe.com\/products\/felt-tip-liquid-liner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Morphe Felt-Top Liquid Liner<\/a><\/em> to define the eyes. She comments that liner could be a bit difficult to use because of the layers of glitter. You can decide if you want to do this step or skip straight to applying the false eyelashes.\n<h3>Step 11: Apply your false eyelashes<\/h3>\nDevyn\u2019s favorite drugstore lashes are the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Ardell-Double-Up-207-Lashes\/dp\/B00YW6N1DQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ardell Double Up 207 Black<\/a><\/em>. You could also use any number of lashes \u2013 from natural to dramatic, depending on the final look you wish to achieve. She also applies mascara on her bottom lashes off camera.\n\nDevyn doesn\u2019t show how she applies her false lashes in this tutorial. Thankfully, we already have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qcmakeupacademy.com\/2015\/04\/qcs-guide-to-false-eyelashes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a guide to applying false eyelashes like a pro<\/a>! Check out the guide if you struggle with applying falsies!\n<h3>Step 12: Set your makeup<\/h3>\nSet your makeup with a setting spray. Devyn uses the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elfcosmetics.com\/dewy-setting-mist\/81323.html#q=setting%2Bspray&amp;lang=en_US&amp;start=6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">e.l.f. Dewy Setting Mist<\/a><\/em><em>.<\/em>\n<h3>Step 13: Add highlight<\/h3>\nBefore the setting spray dries, start highlighting your face! Using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com\/glow-kit-moonchild\/ABH01-18159.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anastasia Beverly Hills Moon Child Glow Kit<\/a>, Devyn takes <em>Blue Ice <\/em>and <em>Pink Heart<\/em> to start. She highlights her cheekbones, working the product back into the hairline. She found the highlight a bit too powdery, so she sprayed her brush with more setting mist to achieve a dewy glow.\n<h3>Step 14: Add your rhinestones<\/h3>\nDevyn applies the gems on her forehead in the same orientation as shown in the product packaging. you can find <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/slp\/face-jewels\/t6sdweaxf64h4kc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">similar rhinestones here<\/a>! If you\u2019re going to wear this out to a festival, she advises you to apply additional adhesive to the back of the gems. The last thing you\u2019d want is to sweat off the gems within the first couple hours of the festival! You could use lash glue\u2014be sure to do a spot test beforehand in case your skin\u2019s sensitive to the glue!\n<h3>Step 15: Finish the face with a nude lip color<\/h3>\nUsing the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyxcosmetics.ca\/en\/slide-on-lip-pencil\/800897839475.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NYX Slide On Lip Pencil in Sugar Glass<\/a><\/em>, Devyn lines her lips. She then applies <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maybelline.ca\/en-ca\/lip-makeup\/lip-color\/color-sensational-the-buffs-lip-color\/nude-lust\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs Lip Color in Nude Lust<\/a><\/em> over the liner to achieve the perfect nude. You could also top the entire look off with additional glitter or gloss, but that\u2019s optional. She uses the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toofaced.com\/lip-makeup\/lipstick\/melted\/melted-latex\/Melted+Latex.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Too Faced Melted Latex Liquified High Shine Lipstick in Unicorn Tears<\/a><\/em> to add some extra oomph!\n<h3>Step 16: Apply body glitter (optional)<\/h3>\nThis step is optional if you just want to stick to face makeup. Taking a setting spray, Devyn sprays her d\u00e9collete with the mist and blends some of it out with her makeup sponge. Going back to the <em>Moon Child<\/em> palette, she takes <em>Purple Horseshoe <\/em>and applies it with a fluffy brush over her collarbone. She then sets the makeup again with setting spray before shaking some more NYX Ice glitter over the area.[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221; custom_height=&#8221;30&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<h4>Ta-da, and you\u2019re done!
