However, I\u2019ve taught in both locations, and whether I\u2019m teaching online or at a brick-and-mortar school, my methodology is exactly the same![\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1639751059665{padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”]I teach my students exactly the same techniques whether it\u2019s online or in-class, but one huge advantage of online learning is camera angles that are zoomed in. When I\u2019m in a classroom, everyone is sitting in chairs \u2013 sometimes 15 feet away \u2013 watching me do a technique. Online makeup videos, by contrast, allow students to see perfect techniques directly, which is a much better and clearer way to learn makeup.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1639751064802{padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”]In a very long career in makeup and makeup education, I have never taken a brush out of a student\u2019s hand to make an adjustment. Because if I make that adjustment, students will never learn. There should be no such thing as a hands-on adjustment![\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1639751069560{padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”]In in-class makeup courses, the adjustments come from a great teacher through words only, and the teacher is not standing there watching students do their work. The teacher assesses the work when it is complete, providing tips, tricks, thoughts, and ideas to make it better. This is exactly what happens in amazing online learning.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1639751074800{padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”]In an\u00a0online makeup course<\/a>, you\u2019ll submit clear, beautiful photos and get all the same tips, tricks, thoughts, and ideas that you would get in a brick-and-mortar school.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1639751110160{padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”]But there can be challenges to online learning, as well. No one is there to babysit you. You have to choose to watch the videos and put them into practice. Your education is totally up to you!<\/a> But, the added bonus of that? You can watch the videos again and again, which is not something you can do when you\u2019re learning at a brick-and-mortar location. They do the demo one time, and your practice. You either get it or you don\u2019t \u2013 the teacher will then move on.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]My final advice?
